Ali Hammuda

Ustadh Ali Ihsan Hammuda is an educator and writer on Islam. He is of Palestinian origin but was brought up in the UK and although an architect/planner by profession, he currently works with Al-Manar (Cardiff) as the English Islamic programmes officer.

Ali is known as the author of various books including ‘Origins of the Mosque of Cordoba’ and ‘The End of Times’, and continues to deliver sermons, lectures and regular classes across the country. He is a regular writer on Islamic issues to a wide audience.

Zahir Mahmood

Shaykh Zahir Mahmood was born in England and has gained licences to teach (Ijaazas) in many Islamic Sciences including Quran, Jurisprudence (Fiqh) and Traditions (Hadith) of The Prophet (Salallahu alayhi wasalam) from various Shuyukh.

For many years, he has been a Khateeb (preacher) at the Jame Masjid in Aston. From that base, he taught many workshops, including Arabic at various levels, Seerah and delivered countless talks about the Sahaba (RA).

The Shaykh then moved on to set up his own institute in Birmingham by the name of As-Suffa Institute and he is currently teaching there. He has endeavoured to reach out to the youth both locally and nationally by travelling throughout the country delivering talks and lectures in order to motivate the Muslim masses to become the best of people.

Ustadh Asid Uddin

Ustadh Asif Uddin was born and raised in the UK and graduated in Business and Information Technology from the University of North London. He further pursued a Masters in Information System at Brunel University.

He has been heavily involved in the Da’wah from the time he was at university. He is a keen Student of Knowledge and has studied the Islamic sciences in Mauritania, Egypt and Qatar, and continues that journey today.

Wasim Kempson

Sheikh Wasim Kempson was born and raised in London U.K he accepted islam in 1994 then three years later he went on to study at Madinah University. He went on to study at the Islamic University of Madinah for seven years, during which he completed a Diploma in Arabic Language followed by a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Shariah and Master of Arts in Islamic Law.
Upon returning to the U.K he has been involved in many institutes and schools. He has worked with IQRA tv (Arabic & English), Islam Channel and Huda tv previously producing a number of Islamic series. Sheikh Wasim Kempson is currently an Imam at Norbury Muslim Centre in London.

Abdur Raheem Green

Abdurraheem Green embraced Islam over 30 years ago and since that time has been active in the field of dawah – inviting people to Islam.

Abdurraheem spent many years at speakers corner in Hyde park, where he made his name as an inspirational orator. He has been delivering talks nationwide including universities during this time, and also on international platforms, such as the Peace Conference in Mumbai. He is a regular on Peace TV with many of his lectures widely watched on YouTube.

Sheikh Abdul Bary Yahya

AbdulBary Yahya was born in Vietnam during the Vietnam War, and very soon thereafter immigrated to the U.S. with his family. He grew up in Seattle, WA and after completing his primary and secondary education there, began his studies at the Islamic University of Madinah.

Upon graduation from the Islamic University of Madinah’s College of Shariah, AbdulBary Yahya returned to Vietnam and Cambodia and became a teacher and director of the Umm al-Qura Charity Organization in Vietnam. He presently resides in Seattle, WA with his family. He is also an instructor of AlMaghrib Institute.

Sheikh Alaa el Sayed

Shaykh Alaa was born in Cairo and lived in Egypt until he was 15 years old. During his youth, he spent his time as the goalie for the Junior National Team and moved to Canada in the late 1970’s, where he lived in Toronto. Sheikh Alaa has studied for his Bachelors in Shari’ah from the American International University, and has earned a scholarship from the Shari’ah Academy in Egypt/Florida. Sheikh Alaa has also received his Ijazah of Qur’an recitation for Hafs an Asim, studied comparative religion for five years through the IPCI in South Africa.

Currently Sheikh Alaa is the Director of Religious Affairs for the Islamic Centre of Canada-ISNA. Sheikh Alaa is tutor with AlKauthar Institute and is also the director of internal & external affairs for Mercy Mission world.
